8th Annual Gamma Epsilon Foundation Scholarship Golf Tournament

The Gamma Epsilon Foundation of the Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, the nation’s oldest predominately Black Greek-letter fraternity for men of professional distinction is excited to host its eighth annual golf tournament fundraiser on Monday, July 13, 2026, at the prestigious Catta Verdera Country Club. The proceeds from this event will fund our Gamma Epsilon Foundation scholarship program that helps promising students in the greater Sacramento area enter the challenging and competitive fields of STEM, law, medicine, and other rigorous academic programs.

Over the last seven years the Gamma Epsilon Foundation has awarded $1,000 scholarships to several local area students who are currently enrolled in universities from UC Davis to Xavier in Louisiana. In addition, we awarded two full 4-year scholarships to students attending North State University which guarantees admission to its Doctor of Medicine program to students who complete the undergraduate program.

The global pandemic and economic hardships that followed have exacerbated the challenge for many of our scholarship applicants, but the future is bright and with your help we can assist these young women and men with a promising start to their career paths. Sponsors will be recognized through marketing materials, course signage and throughout the auction dinner.
